CAPACITY BUILDING SEMINAR FOR AMBASSADORS OF PEACE IN BURKINA FASO

On September 16, 2023, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, the Universal Peace Federation, orchestrated a pivotal event titled the "Capacity Building Seminar for Ambassadors of Peace." With a total of 28 dedicated participants, this seminar served as an invaluable opportunity for individuals to delve into the significance of peace and family values.

The seminar featured a compelling conference on family values, passionately delivered by Reverend Danwéré SOU, President of the Universal Peace Federation for North Africa. Furthermore, Dr. Thierry KY, former National Leader of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, and a respected researcher at Joseph Ky Zerbo University, shared his profound insights on the theme, "Victory over Communism." AMBASSADORS FOR PEACE GATHER TO COMMEMORATE THE ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDER'S ASCENSION

To honor the 11th anniversary of the UPF's founder, Father Moon, UPF Nigeria organized a commemorative event to highlight Father Moon's significant contributions to the world. As part of this initiative, an eight-day Peace and Character Education training program was conducted for twenty teachers from twenty schools, selected by the Federal Government, as a pilot program leading to the proposed national event. In total, 34 participants engaged in this program from Tuesday, August 22, 2023, to Thursday, August 31, 2023, including the twenty teachers, UPF staff, and resource persons from various institutions.

The Founder's Commemoration event took place at Bassan Plaza, drawing an attendance of sixty-four individuals. The event featured two primary segments: the Commemoration of the Founder's Day and the Presentation of Award Certificates. Rev. Imo Nkanta, the National Leader of FFWPU, acted as the MC and skillfully guided the proceedings by introducing and acknowledging the presence of esteemed participants. With humor and engaging anecdotes, Rev. Nkanta set a lively ambiance for the gathering, ensuring active engagement and high spirits throughout. UPF NIGERIA TRAINS TWENTY TEACHERS IN PEACE AND CHARACTER EDUCATION TOWARDS A NATIONAL PEACE AND CHARACTER EDUCATION FOR NIGERIAN SCHOOLS

Abuja - Nigeria The Universal Peace Federation (UPF), in collaboration with the Nigerian government and the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP), undertook an impactful eight-day Peace and Character Education Program from August 22 to August 31, 2023, at the Peace Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria. This initiative aimed to train twenty teachers representing various schools selected by the Federal Government's Universal Basic Education Board. The primary objective was to equip educators with the necessary tools and knowledge to instill strong moral values in students and ultimately integrate Peace Character Education into Nigeria's education curriculum.

The event garnered considerable media attention from reputable outlets such as Radio Nigeria, Capital FM, News Agency of Nigeria, Arise News TV, Nigeria Television Authority, and Television Continental. A proficient team of resource persons, including Rev. George Ogurie and Dr. Bilkisu A. Adedoyin, facilitated the program. Extensive use of UPF reference materials, curriculum development discussions, and activities promoting collaborative problem-solving enriched the training experience.
