Peace Road 2024 Event in Congo Brazzaville - Ouesso
From July 26-27, 2024, Congo Brazzaville hosted a significant Peace Road event in Ouesso, featuring a leadership conference with 130 participants and a Peace Road march that attracted over 800 participants. The event aimed to promote peace, unity, and the mission of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF).
The conference focused on educating the population about the culture of peace and the importance of fulfilling providential requirements. Additionally, the event served to strengthen the foundation of UPF in the region, further advancing its mission of fostering peace and unity across communities.
Uganda - Preparations for Peace Road 2024
In Uganda, the period from late June to July has been marked by a series of meetings, both physical and virtual, focused on preparations for the upcoming Peace Road event. Two key physical meetings were held at the Peace House in Nakasero, which initiated efforts to mobilize VIPs and the general public.
Initially, meetings were held biweekly, but as the event draws closer, they have transitioned to weekly Zoom sessions to report on progress and ensure all preparations are on track.
Self-interest should only be meaningful and sustainable if seen through the power of collective interest. ā
3-Day Religious Leadersā Seminar - Lusaka, Zambia
From July 23 to 25, 2024, UPF Zambia and IAPD Zambia hosted a 3-day seminar at the Peace Embassy in Lusaka, bringing together 15 top leaders from Christian, Islamic, and Jewish faiths. The seminar focused on imparting UPF's vision and teachings, with sessions covering the Ideal of Peace, the roots of conflict, and the importance of family values. Presentations were delivered by Rev. David Isaac Phiri and Rev. Rudolf Faerber, offering profound insights into these critical topics.
A highlight of the seminar was the inspirational address from the guest of honor, Mr. Sikota Noanga, which resonated deeply with participants. The event concluded with the awarding of Ambassadors for Peace certificates to six distinguished participants, recognizing their commitment to promoting peace and unity.
