Official launch of the “100 Days of Harmony and Hope” campaign organized by UPF Africa in Togo

On Friday, 24 October 2025, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Africa proudly launched the 100 Days of Harmony and Hope Campaign at a significant continental gathering in the ECOWAS Hall in CASEF, Lomé, Togo. This event coincided with United Nations Day, underscoring UPF’s steadfast partnership with the UN to promote peace, unity, and shared human values across Africa. The launch, organized in a hybrid format, successfully brought together around 100 in-person participants and over 535 virtual attendees from various African nations. Mr. Kijung Sonoumey, UPF Africa's Officer for Evaluation and Reporting, expertly moderated the ceremony.

It began with an opening prayer by Pastor Kassou Cyril of the Celestial Church of Christ, setting a tone of reflection and unity. Under the theme “UPF and the United Nations: Uniting Our Efforts for 100 Days of Harmony and Hope,” the program featured powerful addresses from UPF’s continental leadership. Ambassador Adama Doumbia, President of UPF Africa, articulated the campaign’s mission: to rally Africa around peace, fraternity, and faith in a harmonious future.
Rev. Moruti Ledwaba, Deputy Continental Director of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), delivered a message on behalf of Rev. Jean-Pierre Kadima, urging support for the Mother of Peace, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, in her current challenges, advocating for justice and truth.
Dr. Paterne Zinsou, Secretary General of UPF Africa, presented a comprehensive strategic plan for this second campaign, detailing responsibilities, engagement mechanisms, and the cooperative commitment expected from national chapters.

The launch established a unified and enthusiastic direction, energizing UPF Africa toward 100 days of intensified peace activities with distinguished Personalities Honoured.
