On April 18, 2024, a special IADP webinar was held on the historic Memorandum of Understanding with the African Union.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by IAPD Africa Chairman, Imboni Dr. Uzwi-Lezwe Radebe. Reflecting on the inception of IAPD Africa, Dr Radebe Expressed gratitude for the progress achieved since the organization’s inception. “The growth of IAPD Africa is the result of the unity among us, the hard work we all put in, and the zeal we possess in ensuring that Africa reaches the pinnacle and enjoys peace and prosperity,” he said, emphasizing that the Memorandum of Understanding is the culmination of everyone’s efforts. PEACE AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENSHIP PROGRAM IN ANGOLA
The Federation for Universal Peace in Angola has a weekly radio program on Radio Tocoista which has served as a means of witnessing our work and spreading the teachings of the FPU and our work. On Thursday 21 March, the Federation for Universal Peace in Angola brought another great topic to the national and international public, with guests of great knowledge, in order to transmit | and share with Rádio Tocoista listeners what a "Woman of Knowledge" is. This time, the Universal Peace Federation in Angola invited representatives of the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) in Angola through Pastor JUDYE HAPPY SUH, who explained and advised listeners on what "WOMEN OF KNOWLEDGE" are. BUILDING BRIDGES FOR PEACE: UPF MEETS BROTHERHOOD OF CROSS AND STAR
UPF Nigeria with Brotherhood of Cross and start at the peace embassy
Representatives from the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Nigeria welcomed members of the Brotherhood of Cross and Star to a collaborative meeting. Both groups, united by a shared vision of peace, aimed to explore opportunities for cooperation.
The purpose of this meeting was to foster collaboration and dialogue between the Brotherhood of Cross and Star and the Universal Peace Federation. The meeting included member introductions, and discussions on various topics such as African Spirituality, Principles of Peace, and the Importance of Forgiveness.
The Brotherhood of Cross and Star emphasized their core principles of love and peace, as well as their desire to collaborate with the UPF to promote these values. Additionally, there were presentations on the Overview of the Divine Principle and discussions on the role of Africa in leading the world in spirituality. Altogether, five members from UPF-Nigeria and eight members of the Brotherhood of Cross and Star participated. Read more
UPF BURKINA FASO HELD A CONFERENCE AND DISTINCTION CEREMONY
With the aim of mobilizing Ambassadors for Peace to participate in the Peace effort and support the Government in its fight to promote peace, which has been severely affected by terrorist acts, UPF-BF held a conference and proceeded to nominate new Ambassadors for Peace. The program took place in two periods (morning and evening) on March 9, 2024.
On the program: Presentation of the Founders, presentation of UPF International, Lecture on the 5 principles by Secretary General DIARRA THOMAS, Image projection, and Profile of each air container. The role of master of ceremonies was assumed by Deputy Secretary General Mr. AROUNA BARRE. 40 people divided into 4 groups. Customary chiefs, religious leaders, defense and security personnel, health personnel, and women's and youth leaders were honored as Ambassadors for Peace. Read more
